My Day In A Recording Studio.
From being in nappies until now, I’ve always had the dream of getting somewhere with singing. When I turned fifteen I was incredibly excited as my mum had told me my birthday present off her was a day in a recording studio.
I started very early in the morning and before starting I had to get to know the producer to ensure I was comfortable with him and then had to warm my voice up. I had a tour around the studios and he tried to explain to me what all the buttons did but I was too focussed on getting started. Once we had found all the music and I was ready, we got going.
I managed to get three covers done; Someone Like You by Adele, Unfaithful by Rihanna and finally, E.T by Katy Perry. I was expecting to get a lot more done but its a lot harder doing a day of singing than what it sounds. I had to sing each verse and chorus over and over, roughly eight or nine times, so that we could take the best parts and patch them altogether. We added a few tweaks too to make it sound perfect.
At the end of a long day i had a sore throat but I was over the moon with my result. If anyone wants to pursue their dream of becoming a famous artist or singer I would strongly recommend a day in a recording studio. I have now sent of copies of my CD to big record labels and now I am waiting for a reply.
