Public Transport Problems
At times it seems that travelling on public transport can have its problems.
There have been times when it can be difficult to find out the time that a bus is due as the stop may not have a timetable displayed.
At times you can be waiting at a bus stop and even though you signal for the bus to stop, it can drive straight past.
I personally have had an incident where I have been refused on a bus because I did not have the right change. Obviously, the bus drove off, meaning I was really late arriving at my destination.
Transport problems do not just apply to buses, as trains have their own problems. Trains at times can be delayed without an explanation. One problem which I personally experienced is that of railcards. I have a 16-25 railcard and it cannot be used until 10am. Once, I have boarded the train a few minutes after 10am and was refused the discount.
Public transport can sometimes be the only way young people can get around, especially when it is expensive to learn to drive and we all need to get to work, college or to see our friends.
I think the main problem with public transport is the communication between the companies and the public.
Have other young people experienced similar problems?
