LLangollen railway
Lllangollen railway is a heritage railway that is run by members on a voluntary basis. The track bed is owned by Denbighshire Council. 'Locos' (or locomotives) are either donated or bought for restoration. Llangollen has a diesel group who maintain all diesel locos which are running at weekends and at special events and galas.
The railway is a 15 mile round trip to Carrog from Llangollen through Berwyn and Pentrefellyn. Llangollen also provides 'Thomas The Tank Engine' events which are great fun and magical for young children as well as adults.
Steam locomotives also run up the line giving a nostalgic idea of how Llangollen was, years ago.Trains that can be seen are the Foxcote Manor 7822 and diesels such as 6940 and D5310.
