On 22nd October 2011 some of us from the Young Flintshire Youth Editorial Group (YFYEG) attended a training session at Llay Resource Centre. The training session was with CLIC. We had the choice of either Creative Writing, Photo Diaries or Film Making. These categories contribute to an Argored Cymru accreditation. The training session was interesting and good fun. The Film Making group had to make a short video with a story. The Photo Diary group had to tell a story using photos. Finally, the Creative writing group had to write a creative story.

I was in the photo diary group and we chose to do a story on Facebook - Before and Now. We gathered some photos and then uploaded them on to the Apple Mac. Once uploaded onto the Apple Mac, we had to make them into a presentation. None of our group were really familiar with the Apple Mac's so after some experimenting, we managed to create our presentation.

When everyone had finished their project it was time to present them. The Film making group presented their film on Drink Driving and the effects. Our Photo Diary group presented our photo presentation on making friends before and after Facebook. Finally, the Creative Writing group presented their story on The Life of Virgil which was quite a random story.

The day was educational and interesting. I learnt a bit more on how to use the Apple Mac's. I would happily do another training session like this one as it is good to know that you can have fun creating things and get an accreditation from it.
